Divisional Finals
The match played at Mareham le Fen was won by Sleaford Town 53 shots to 42. Both teams scored 3 points.
The Stan Hargreaves Trophy.
Thirty six contestants had a very enjoyable day at Billinghay Bowls Club. This was played in brilliant sunshine and was possibly too hot for some. Congratulations to Jean Gandy of the Bristol Bowls Club who won a closely fought competition.

Congratulations to Wanderers who won the north division and Sleaford Town who won the south. The play off will be played at Mareham le Fen on the 5th September.

The Stan Hargreaves Trophy will be held at Billinghay bowls Club on 22 August 2018.
It will commence at 11 30 am and will comprise of 4 games of 8 ends so competitors should be there before 11 15 am so that the draw can take place and the start made on time.
It is an individual competition and a draw will made to allocate them into trips and positions.
Can team Captains please notify Alan Robinson of the names of members of their club who wish to take part by 15th August. The entry fee is £1 per individual.
Food and drink will be available throughout the day.
Divisional Finals
The divisional finals for 2017 were held at Cranwell on Saturday 23 June. This was between Castle and Eslaforde Park with Castle winning 26 shots to 18. Hopefully this years final can be held this year and weather will not interfere.

An enjoyable day at Sleaford Town Bowls Club. An excellent day and all enjoyed themselves in the sunny weather.The final was between Wanderers and Eslaforde Park with the Wanderers winning eight shots to two.

This will be held at Sleaford Town on Wednesday 20th June, starting at 9.30 therefore teams should assemble at 9.15 latest.
Car parking will be at the Sleaford cricket club. Refreshments will be available throughout the day and raffle prizes would be appreciated.
The teams will be split into two sections and each team will play four games of eight ends or 50 minutes. The winners of each section will play a straight final.

The Annual General Meeting of the league was held at St. Peters Hall, Woodhall Spa on Wednesday 7th March at 2pm.
Notes from the meeting
Jim Matson had resigned as secretary
Alan Robinson agreed to stand as secretary and fixture secretary. All other officers agreed to stand again for office and all were elected.
The Secretary was asked to write to Jim Matson and thank him for work he has carried out for the league.
The Treasurer to amend the bank mandate and add Alan Robinson to it.
It was agreed to wave the subscription fees for the coming season. The Treasurer said that it would probably have to be re instated next year as we would have to pay soft ware costs of £220 for the new web site and £120 for server hosting costs.
All members welcomed the the introduction of the new web site.
Keith White asked that all results be sent to him so that he could enter them onto the site. He asked if this could be done by email if possible. He would forward them to Alan if required.
He also asked that members kept him informed of news and change of personnel at the clubs.
The Ron White Shield was provisionally booked to be held at Sleaford Town, or Cranwell if not possible . Now confirmed as Sleaford Town

League Rules. It was agreed to amend the rule relating to match days clause b.
This related to inclement weather and awarding of points for not turning up.
Next years AGM to be held at Cranwell Parish Social Club on the first Wednesday in March 2019
It was agreed that a donation of £100 be be paid to the Air Ambulance charity.
