Minutes of the Annual General\u00a0 Meeting held at Cranwell Sports Club on 4th March 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n

  1. All clubs were in attendance.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The President opened the meeting by thanking Cranwell Sports Club for allowing us to hold the meeting.\u00a0 He reported that the season had gone well with good weather.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Remembrances were held for those sadly no longer with us.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. The minutes of the 2025 AGM were passed as a true record of the meeting.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. The only matter arising was that regarding proposals to change the league structure that members had been asked to take back to their clubs for consideration.\u00a0 It was agreed to discuss this prior to election of the officers for 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Treasurer Graham Russell presented the accounts for the year to 31st December 2025.\u00a0 An opening balance of \u00a3245 had been carried forward and combined with the subscriptions gave a total income of \u00a3605.\u00a0 The expenditure of \u00a3385 was related to competition and website costs, leaving a year end balance of \u00a3220.\u00a0 A subsequent payment of \u00a3148 to the website service provider has left \u00a372 in the account.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. The secretary had only received one clubs view to the proposal to change the league structure to one league of 12 or the counter proposal to have two divisions.\u00a0 The merits of these proposals were further discussed and it was ultimately voted by 7 votes to 5 to leave things as they currently stand.\u00a0 So for 2026 we continue as north and south divisions.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. The following officers were unanimously elected:<\/strong>\n

    • Secretary\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Irene Herod<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Treasurer\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Graham Russell<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Competition Secretary Vacant<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Before the draw for the Wilkinson Shield those present agreed to take back to their clubs a plea for both, a volunteer to be Competition Secretary and for venues to hold the Ron White Shield and Stan Hargreaves Competitions to allow them to run this season.\u00a0 Please inform the secretary by end of April 2026. The Wilkinson Shield draw was made and will be sent to the club secretaries.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • There was no other business other than agreeing the date for the next AGM as 3rd March 2027, venue to be confirmed.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
